Academic preparation essays I believe that I have performed to the best of my ability at D_______ High School. I have always been motivated to excel in my studies. Although my parents were not fortunate to pursue a college education, they have always told me that a firm education is the key to success. With my motivation and the support and encouragement from my family, I know I have the potential not only to set high goals for myself, but, make those goals and dreams a reality. Graduating from D______ High School is the next step in my path to success. I am eager to enlarge my horizons of knowledge at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a result of my enjoyment of the universal language, mathematics, and my interests in the never ending world of technology, I plan to acquire a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I know that it may take a while to make my way up the salary ladder to the high paying jobs, but I am determined to get there no matter how long and difficult my journey is. After I feel that I am financially stable, I would like to have a family and later on venture in starting my own business. I believe that I have the initiative and determination to accomplish my journey through life. To reach my destination, I must first overcome my next challenge: to prevail the high standards set forth by the University of California. I know I can and will be victorious. .
